Bristol photo dump

Last weekend we had this crazy idea of waking up at 3am to get to Bristol before 6am to watch the sunrise. I’ve never been to Bristol before so was kind of excited but here’s a little spoiler before you get to the end of this post: I didn’t like it. It was good to visit but we certainly won’t be back anytime soon.

Driving around the city was such a nightmare due to lack of road signs/markings. It’s a small city (comparable to Bath) but there’s definitely less to see/do than in Bath so we literally spent a couple of hours strolling around the city and decided to take the 40 mins journey to Bath instead.

However me being me – always looking for a bright side and so here’s few, pretty spots in Bristol:

Clifton Suspension Bridge

Clifton Bridge was the main reason we went to Bristol, and yes of course it’s something worth seeing especially during sunrise/sunset. It was truly magical!

For the most spectacular views head to Clifton Observatory, you don’t need to get inside, there’s a little park outside where you’ll get the best views.

Clifton & Clifton Village

Known for its quirky streets, shops and cosy cafes, lovely place for a little walk.

Royal York Crescent

I really wish there was more I could share with you, but we visited early in the morning so everything was still closed, we couldn’t even get a coffee or breakfast but let it be the reason to pay Bristol a visit in the future.
